Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Palos de la Frontera

Pastrana

Located between the Tajo and Tajuña Rivers, this village with a medieval layout and feel is one of the most notable of the Guadalajara province. It was the residence of noble lineages and the location of convents founded by the mystic Santa Teresa de Jesús. Its old quarter has the Property of Cultural Interest designation.

Petra

The birthplace of Friar Junípero Serra, located on the island of Majorca, there are several monuments to visit. Its old town has been declared Property of Cultural Interest.

El Pinar

It is located in the southwest of the island of El Hierro and includes the villages of El Pinar and La Restinga. It is in an exceptionally beautiful setting, with a mountainous landscape of volcanic origin.

Plasencia

On the bank of the Jerte River, in the Extremaduran province of Caceres, Plasencia has a historic quarter that is a consequence of the city's strategic location along the Silver Route, or Ruta de la Plata. This town was inhabited by Romans and Arabs until the 12th century, when King Alfonso VIII reconquered it.

Platja d'Aro

Several prehistoric funereal monuments show that Platja d'Aro was an important settlement in the most distant times. There is also evidence of Roman presence in the village, from the Plá de Palol archaeological site.

Playa de Santiago

Playa de Santiago is a major tourist centre which comes under the municipality of Alajeró, situated in the southern part of the island of La Gomera. Situated in the sunniest area of La Gomera, Playa de Santiago is one of the most important tourist spots on the island. It is divided into two separate towns, Lomada de Tecina and Laguna de Santiago.

La Pobla de Segur

La Pobla de Segur is alongside the Noguera Pallaressa River and is one of the most historic villages in the Lleida Pyrenees. The streets of its medieval old town lead to two gates, Orteu and Parrau.

Pola de Lena

Pola de Lena is 33 kilometres from Oviedo and stands out for its rugged mountain landscape, as well as for its architectural heritage. Special mention should be made of Santa Cristina de Lena (11th century), a pre-Romanesque church, with the World Heritage designation.

Pollença

The northernmost spurs of Sierra de Tramuntana are the backdrop of the Majorcan town of Pollença. Widely known for its lively port and crystal-clear bay, the town has a medieval historic quarter that sits only a few kilometres away from the Mediterranean sea.

Ponferrada

Ponferrada, capital of the region of El Bierzo, is one of the major staging posts on the Pilgrim's Road to Santiago de Compostela as it passes through the province of León. The historic quarter of this town sits below an imposing castle built by the Knights Templar.
