Sóller Sea Museum

Housed in the former Oratory of Saint Catherine of Alexandria, this museum in Mallorcashowcases antique naval artifacts, ship models, photographs, documents and other items related to fishing, trade and the sea.

The exhibition room of the Sóller Sea Museum is adorned in blue tones, and features the “mestres d’aixa”, skilled craftsmen dedicated to building and restoring wooden vessels. The audiovisual room of this building of Mallorca Sea Museum, in which documentary pieces that focus on the intangible heritage and spoken memory of the Port of Sóller are regularly screened. The goal is to combine knowledge of the past and present through the testimonies of fishermen from several generations.
