Ayala-Aiara
The history of the Ayalas
Within a medieval complex, this museum collects the history of the House of Ayala.
The collection is housed in one of the wings of the original palace. In addition to these abundant documents, visitors can view images, models, goldsmithing items and a variety of other objects. Also on display are several works of art, carefully preserved for more than 600 years at the convent of San Juan Bautista, including the alabaster tombs with effigies of Pedro López de Ayala, his wife and his parents.
