Calera de León
The building stands in the main square and belongs to the Order of Santiago. It was built in the late 15th century and completed in the 16th century as an extension of the Monastery of Tentudía, and has today been declared a National Historic-Artistic Monument. The cloister has two storeys: The more formal monastic areas are on the ground floor, and include the Chapter Room and the Refectory. The main altarpiece is by Eduardo Acosta, and consists of a canvas is representing the four evangelists and scenes from the Battle of Tentudía, crowned by a mounted statue of Saint James the Apostle.
