A fusion of natural beauty and the legacy of different civilisations in the heart of the Penedès region

This incredible natural watchtower is found at the foothills of El Garraf, and is crowned by a monument ensemble with a wall.

Between the municipalities of Canyelles and Olèrdola, in the province of Barcelona, the park is an extension of the Garraf Natural Park. Its main attraction is the monumental complex of Olèrdola, at the top of which stands the Romanesque chapel of Sant Miquel, dating from the 12th century. In addition, different vestiges of the different cultures and peoples that inhabited the area, from the Bronze Age to the 13th and 14th centuries, have been preserved. Here you can see everything from a Roman cistern excavated in the rock, to the remains of an Iberian settlement and a medieval castle, as well as walls from different periods. Visitors can explore it in guided and dramatised tours.
