Majona Natural Park

The land of ravines
Two large ravines create the structure of this park with its steep orography.
The park is located in one of the most rugged areas of the island of La Gomera. It is structured by the large ravines of Majona and Juel, which descend from the heights of Enchereda. There are various habitats that give rise to different plant formations. Thus, there are areas of Canary Island pine and Aleppo pine, with junipers and wild olive trees, while laurel forests grow at the bottom of the ravines. Among the fauna, the presence of the African monarch butterfly or golden danaida stands out.
