Salamanca

Diversity of fauna and flora

The area is of a huge landscape value. The surface of the plain is contrasted with deep canyons carved by rivers. There is also a big contrast with the vegetation, ranging from Mediterranean crops, rare at this latitude, to Atlantic-influenced forests, such as the Pyrenean oak. From a fauna perspective, it is home to more than 200 different species of vertebrates.
