Motor racing: Formula 1 Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix

The Circuit de Catalunya, in Montmeló, in the province of Barcelona, hosts the Formula 1 Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix as part of the World Motor Racing Championship calendar.

During the two days prior to the race, the free practice and qualifying sessions are held to determine the starting position. Circuit de Catalunya boasts 65,700 seats divided across 14 grandstands and more than 35,000 general admission spots. The unique layout of this track makes the race a special challenge for the drivers.
