The leading astrotourism event is holding its seventh edition in 2024, focusing on sustainability and mitigating climate change.

The Galician Costa da Morte will host the seventh edition of the Annual Starlight Meeting, an event that will bring together around 50 speakers with the aim of exchanging experiences and ideas that will serve to establish guidelines for the future and build a solid foundation for this type of tourism to continue to grow.Promoted by the Starlight Foundation, 'star tourism' is a new type of sustainable and responsible tourism that combines sky observation with activities related to this natural resource. Astrotourism allows us not only to admire galaxies, but also to contribute to energy efficiency and the fight against climate change.During the event, four roundtable discussions will be held on the topics: “The Values ​​of Astrotourism”, “Astrotourism: An Instrument for Sustainability and Climate Change Mitigation”, “Astrotourism and Local Economic Development” and “Education, Training and Dissemination”.
